This chocolate fudge was created from healthy ingredients. You can take it anywhere with you such as to work. That way when you have the urge for a sweet treat you will be prepared to ignore the unhealthy junk foods calling you at the vending machine.

This healthy chocolate fudge dessert takes less than 5 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 3-5 ounce of bakers unsweetened chocolate – try to find 100% content. Look for at least 70-80% cocoa content on the label of any dark chocolate bar if you can’t find 100%. (This minimizes the sugar content)
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk (canned organic)
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup raw pecans chopped (optional)
  • 3/4 cup raisins or goji berries dried or cranberries (optional)
  • 4-5 tablespoons of peanut butter or any other nut butter (cashew butter, macadamia butter, almond butter, pecan butter) the choice is yours.
  • 1 scoop, 25 grams of any protein powder you like
  • 2 tablespoons rice bran (you can find these at health food stores)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons hemp seeds, chia seeds, and/or flax seeds (these are optional but full of fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants)
  • 2 tablespoons whole oat bran or oats
  • Add a little stevia powder to sweeten
  • Add a little organic maple syrup
  • How to Prepare this Healthy Dessert
  • Add coconut milk and vanilla to a small saucepan on the lowest heat setting.

Break the chocolate bars into chunks and add it to the pot.

Add the nut butters and stevia sweetener. Continue to stir the ingredients until it melts into a smooth mixture.

Add the nuts, raisins, protein powder, seeds, oat bran, and rice bran and stir until blended. If it becomes too thick or dry, add a little more coconut milk. If the mixture seems too wet, remember that it will get more solid when it goes into the fridge.

Pour the mixture on wax paper in a dish and put it in the fridge to cool. It will get solid in about 3-4 hours. Then cut the firm chocolate fudge into squares and put in a covered container to prevent it form drying out.

So there, your healthy dessert is ready. A delicious homemade chocolate fudge dessert that you can enjoy at home or on the go. You can subscribe to this blog to be notified when more healthy dessert ideas are updated.
